Marc Smith, P.E.

Marc Smith grew up in Wylie, Texas. As a young boy, starting at the age of eight, he began working for his grandfather's HVAC construction company during the summers. Running tools, helping install, an all around grunt. Marc continued this summer routine until he was employed by Basharkhah at the age of 16 to do drafting on AutoCAD. After completing High School at Wylie High School in 1998 Marc was accepted to Texas A&M, College Station's engineering program. Majoring in mechanical engineering, graduating in 2004, Marc was 1 of 92 who completed the engineering program that had an initial class of 1,200. While attending both high school and college, Marc successfully worked for Basharkhah Engineering firm in Dallas. Building his knowledge of the industry from the ground up. Marc continued to work for Basharkhah after graduating. Due to the demand for an engineer with the family HVAC business, Marc left Basharkhah in 2005 and began an independent career. Through this transition Marc completed the requirements for the State of Texas to recognize him as a Professional Engineer in 2008. As a final phase to complete Marc's professional career, he started Mr. Engineer, Inc. as an independent firm. Formally know as MR Engineering, LP, started July 1, 2011. 

Over the past six years, Marc has built an engineering firm that caters to client needs, in multiple disciplines, at a cost effective rate. In his down time Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, solving Rubix cubes, and playing golf.
